Polyethylene wax (PE wax) is a low molecular weight polyethylene with an average molecular weight of 1000~2500. It can be obtained by high pressure or low pressure polymerization of ethylene, or by controlled pyrolysis of high molecular weight polyethylene. The density (0.92~0.94g/cm³) and softening point (85~115℃) of PE wax prepared by high pressure polymerization of ethylene are lower, while the density of PE wax prepared by low pressure polymerization of ethylene (0.94~0.97g/cm³) ) and softening point (125~140℃) are higher. PE wax has stable chemical properties, excellent electrical properties, and has PVC lubricating properties similar to paraffin wax, but is sensitive to dosage. Its molecular distribution is very special, and it has a unique molecular structure, which is not usually easy to disperse like the molecular structure of oily wax, so it has the typical effect of high hardness even at high temperature. Polyethylene wax is soluble in all waxes and most resins, and produces ideal blending effects, especially for resin rubber.
Polyethylene (PE) wax LP0020P is a product of Siam Cement Group (SCG) in Thailand. It is a refined polyethylene wax product with special properties produced by high-density PE production and purification process. Using high-tech means and strict quality control, LP0020P has various functions such as lubrication, dispersion, changing thermal properties and increasing melt fluidity, and is widely used.
PE wax has excellent cold resistance, heat resistance, chemical resistance and abrasion resistance. In production, this part of the wax can be directly added to the processing of PVC products as an additive, which can increase the gloss and processing performance of the product. As a lubricant, it has stable chemical properties and good electrical properties. Polyethylene wax has good compatibility with PVC resin powder. It can improve the mold release of the product. Compared with PVC and other external lubricants, polyethylene wax has a stronger internal lubricating effect.
