Epoxidized soybean oil is referred to as ESO, and its composition is linoleic acid (51%~57%), oleic acid (32%~36%), palmitic acid (2.4%~2.8%), stearic acid (4.4%) ~4.6%) etc. Light yellow oily liquid with a relative density of 0.989. Epoxy value of 6.6%. Freezing point 8 ℃. Boiling point 150  ℃ (0.53kPa): refractive index 1.4716. Viscosity (25℃) 325mP.a·s. Flash point (open ring) 280 ℃.

Epoxidized soybean oil is non-toxic; low volatility, resistance to extraction and migration; excellent weather resistance and heat resistance. Soluble in alkanes and most organic solvents, slightly soluble in water. Compatible with polyvinyl chloride, chlorinated rubber, nitrile rubber. The product is a light yellow viscous oily liquid at room temperature, the solubility in water is <0.01 (25°C), the solubility of water in the product is 0.55% (25°C), soluble in hydrocarbons, ketones, esters, Organic solvents such as higher alcohols, slightly soluble in ethanol. This product is the most widely used non-toxic plasticizer and stabilizer for PVC: good compatibility with PVC resin, low volatility and low migration. It has excellent thermal stability and light stability, as well as water resistance and oil resistance. It can give products good mechanical strength, weather resistance and electrical properties, and is non-toxic. It is an internationally recognized chemical process additive for food packaging materials. .
